Pre-Stressed Segmental Construction

We are proud to be the only precast producer in the NY metropolitan area to have undertaken and completed a project involving pre-stressed segmental construction.

Precast segmental construction is one of the most, if not the most, challenging types of precast construction. the extremely tight tolerances, quality control requirements and the complex geometry combined to provide a uniquely challenging product. on the Manhatten West project, in collaboration with Rizzani de Eccher, we produced over six hudred segments weighing over fifty (50) tons each. The project was completed on schedule.

For this project, four customized automated molds were ordered and procured from DEAL, an italian manufacturer specializing in precast segmental forms and machinery. A dedicated team of engineers and craftsman were trained in the casting and geometry control of these segments. The production time period was approximately eleven months.
